Climatic changes have had significant effects on the stability of the coasts and rivers, and these changes have caused fluctuations and disturbances in these environments by increasing the sea level, salting the waters, flooding and reducing the river water flow. Since the scientometric method helps researchers to identify and examine the gaps in research in a specific field of knowledge, therefore, in this study, by using the analysis of recent scientific documents, to collect the most up-to-date research related to climate change and its effects on the stability of coasts and rivers. And also the solutions to deal with it were provided from reliable citation databases such as Google Scholar, SID, Magiran, Science Direct. According to this research, the role of climate change in creating disruptions and threats to the stability of the coasts and rivers is very vital, and in order to properly manage the changes and maintain the stability of these environments, it is necessary to formulate and implement appropriate policies and plans to adapt to climate change. On this basis, attention and effective measures are needed to formulate and implement appropriate policies and plans. The results of this research showed that in order to maintain the stability of the coasts and rivers, it is necessary for the planners to pay attention to some of the practical solutions mentioned in the sixth report of the Inter-State Commission on Climate Change.
